Introduction
Loss of production, repair costs, and income are just some of the concerns of out-of-service equipment. Repowering a failed engine can return your equipment to above and beyond it’s production expectations with a new or factory remanufactured John Deere engine. In most cases fuel economy, longevity and equipment value can be improved as well. This can also include repowering a non-John Deere engine application. Whether it be remanufactured or new, the quality of the product is unsurpassed and backed by the commitment of John Deere to be the best. So, no matter what make, if your existing engine is tired or down, take the opportunity to call Frontier Power Products. We can supply you with a cost effective replacement package for existing John Deere powered or other non-John Deere powered OEM equipment.

Factory New Replacement Engines
Replacement Emission Label for Tier-1 & Tier-2

The 1998 non-road (or off-road) engine regulations are structured as a three tiered progression. Each tier involves a phase-in by horsepower rating over several years. Tier-1 standards were phased-in from 1996 to 2000. The more stringent Tier-2 standards took effect from 2001 to 2006. Equipment with engines in these tier ranges are coming of age and reaching high hours of use. John Deere now offers a program to repower these Tier-1 and Tier-2 engines in OEM applications with a Replacement Emission Label Engine for Repower.

Today, there are EPA conditions for replacing these engines with new, such as, the “replacement” engine must be “like-for-like” in dimension and power, correct emission components and must have a label that identifies it as a replacement engine. Under section 12 of the Regulations, a “replacement” engine is “an engine manufactured exclusively to replace an engine in a machine for which no current model year engine with the physical or performance characteristics necessary for the operation of the machine is manufactured by the manufacturer of the original engine”. Frontier Power Products stocks many of these engines for OEM applications and are surprisingly affordable.

Your new Deere repower engine will come with the latest in technological improvements, providing you with greater performance, durability, and fuel economy. This, combined with one of the best new warranties in the industry, will provide you with lower and reliable operating costs. These savings offer immediate and long lasting return on your repair investment. To further enhance this opportunity, an extended warranty is available for most engines at a reasonable fee that can offer protection for up to five years.
