Now in its 42nd year, the International Tug & Salvage Convention returns to beautiful British Columbia after an absence of 37 years. When the 3rd Convention was held in Vancouver in May 1973, it welcomed 227 delegates from 22 countries and 16 exhibitors. This, the 21st Convention, will see an anticipated 400 delegates from approximately 50 countries and up to 100 exhibitors – a huge increase all round, reflecting the extraordinary and on-going success of the event.

Not only is Vancouver one of the world’s most beautiful ports, it is also home to some of the world’s leading naval architects in the field of tug design. It is estimated that nearly 400 tugs operate out of Vancouver and associated ports along the coast of British Columbia.

Over the years, the ITS Convention has earned an enviable reputation for being the best of its kind, thanks to meticulous attention to detail. It attracts the senior players in the business from all over the world, affording them a unique opportunity once every two years to meet, learn and do business.
