Frontier Power Products Ltd. developed the Genesis portable
lighting tower to answer specific needs not being met by existing towers. Some
of the key features of the Genesis tower include light stowage inside the
canopy to prevent damage during transportation or vandalism while the machine
is unattended. As well, the AC generator is a brushless (rotating field),
self-excited, 1800 rpm unit that has automatic +/- 1-1/2% voltage regulation.
This close voltage regulation allows the generator set to effectively power
other loads including motors and solid-state or digital read-out devices. The
standard engine is a Kubota three-cylinder diesel that conforms to all US and
Canadian emissions standards. An 8 kWe prime power rating ensures that the
lighting tower offers job site versatility as well as reliable lighting.
The Genesis Power Light® tower is easy to maintain, with
excellent access to all service points. As well, the tower has a built-in
containment tray to help prevent accidental spillage of contaminants such as
fuel, oil or antifreeze. A galvanized, three-stage mast and rugged powder coat
paint finish keep the Genesis tower looking good long after competitive towers
show rust and corrosion.
