Equipment Sales Representative – Edmonton, AB

What we do:

Here at Frontier Power Products we are a leading supplier of diesel engines, generator sets and industrial power units, and looking to add a great personality to join our Kohler Products Line Sales Team in supporting the growth initiatives of our Edmonton Branch.

This is a base + commission role that offers a great opportunity for a electrically-savvy individual to drive sales. As such, the expectation is that your minimum hours of work per day is reflected by the workload provided by the market you serve. With that said, the minimum expectation is 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Note that this is a highly technical role, candidates are encouraged to showcase any skills and experience with sales related to Generators or other diesel/power products.

What you will do:

Overall function/responsibility:

·Daily communication/interface with existing & potential customers
·Review/interpret customers’ specifications and develop the best solutions for their power requirements
·Prepare equipment cost estimates and customer quotations
·Pursue business opportunities in an honest, organized and highly professional manner that reflects well upon the company as a whole

Major Duties:

·Establish & develop new sales accounts and maintain existing accounts.
·Present product line(s) to existing and potential customers, emphasizing product features and advantages that will satisfy customers’ needs
·Maintain good records of customer visits and follow up on customers’ needs
·Communicate clearly with supervisor to ensure that management fully understands sales opportunities and challenges as they arise
·Prepare documentation (W.O. specs., BOM) for the shop and parts department
·Where required, provide technical support staff (engineering) with information to facilitate drawings, schematics etc.
·Sales people are the representatives of Frontier Power Products ULC. In this role, good manners, proper attire, and a positive and professional attitude must be maintained
·Assist in resolving customer complaints
·Complete all required sales staff monthly reporting within timelines laid out

What you will bring (Skills & Experience):

Post-secondary education, or an equivalent of education/experience within a related industry.

At least one year inside or outside sales experience.

Well-developed organization and administrative skills.

Great oral and written communication skills.

A critical-thinking ability demonstrated through problem solving and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products with intermediate Word and Excel skills.
