Few places on Earth have such a variety of  challenges where engines are called upon to perform in extreme cold or in high temperatures,  from sea level to the tops of the Rocky Mountains and in some of the most remote locations on  earth. To meet these challenges, Frontier Power designs products that anticipate the site  conditions with customized engines and generator sets that work well for our customers. 

The successful candidate will have a strong background with John Deere engine parts and online JD systems and is an enthusiastic, proven salesperson. You enjoy and are familiar with engine driven equipment and electrical power generation. You are familiar with construction, rental,  mining, and other similar markets and can build good relationships with our customers. 

If you are interested in joining a growing business in Edmonton, AB, we have an exciting  opportunity for a Production Parts Person to join our team. 

Overall function & responsibilities: 

– Receive and receipt daily in-bound shipments from vendors and other branch locations.

– Prepare out-bound shipments consisting of:  

o Customer parts orders 

o Finished production units 

o BBT transfers 

o Other related shipments 

– Assist parts staff with order fulfilment when requested. 

– Assist production parts with order fulfilment. 

– Pick-up or delivery of local orders and/or assisting shop techs that require unexpected parts  delivery to job site. 

– Other duties as assigned. 

Other related duties and requirements:  

– Maintain a clean and organized parts stock room, shipping bay and warehouse.

– Count inventory as assigned by either spot check, cycle count of annual full count.

– Assist production & service by delivering parts to shop floor based on work orders in progress.

– Alert supervisor of shipping discrepancies and assist with resolving.

– Familiarity with receiving procedures: Check BOL, note overage/shortage, receive into system,  unpack inspect and put away accurately. 

– Frequent use of shipping procedures: Pick to order, package, stage, create documents, track  shipments.  

Competencies: 

– Safe workplace attitude and follows safety guidelines in all areas of the workplace. – Forklift operation and safe use of related equipment used on the job 

– Fundamental parts department knowledge  

– Warehousing bin maintenance and good housekeeping skills 

– FIFO mentality with parts stocking and issuing to orders 

– Computer literacy to complete tasks in electronic format when practical 

– Knowledge in preparing courier and LTL shipment manifests 

– Knowledge in cross border shipping requirements 

– Capable of lifting as per labor guidelines 

Desired skills: 

– Can-do attitude with a focus on high customer satisfaction 

– Efficient in time management and planning. 

– Valid drivers’ license and clean drivers abstract 

– Being cost conscious and have a continuous process improvement mentality

– Being receptive to feedback and a willingness to learn 

– Excellent attention to details
