If you are interested in joining a growing business in Delta, BC, we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join our Service Department.

The successful candidate will report to the General Service Manager and will be enthusiastic, with a strong technical background. You enjoy and are familiar with engine-driven equipment and electrical power generation. You are familiar with construction, rental, mining, etc. markets and you are capable of building good relationships with our customers. This is a full-time permanent position best suited to an experienced Journeyperson Electrician or Heavy-Duty mechanic with experience managing shop and field staff.

What you will be doing:

· Manage all mechanics and electricians

· Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems

· Estimate repairs on engines and equipment

· Follow and ensure staff compliance with all safety procedures and policies

· Work with the administrative team to schedule incoming shop, fieldwork, and closing work orders in a timely manner

· As we value the trades, you will be responsible for mentoring all apprentices

· Understand and use the latest technology test equipment available to diagnose and service equipment.

What you will bring (Skills and Experience):

· Great attitude!

· HD mechanic with a minimum of five years as a Journeyperson

· Must have industrial strength communication and organizational skills.

· Previous power generation experience in generators, controls (AC/DC), PLCs, Switchgear paralleling equipment, and remote networks is an asset.

· Customer-centric with excellent relationship management, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with engines, generators, and/or control systems.

· Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, hours, and travel when required to support our customer needs.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Comfortable with computerized systems and basic Microsoft Suite of products.
